Rewind: Top 6 'American Idol' performances

We live-blogged Tuesday night's "American Idol." The theme was nation music, with a singers selecting songs from a Shania Twain songbook. Shania served as mentor.

5:00 - "This ... is 'American Idol!'"

5:07 - Having a small technical problems though we goal we can work them out. we don't consider I've longed for any singers nonetheless ...

5:17 - Oh man. FAIL! Sorry. I'm behind in time to locate last few seconds of Michael Lynche's performance.
Randy: "Very good."
Ellen: "It felt similar to Luther Vandross singing which song."
Kara: "I suspicion it was great which we didn't shift it too much. Great job."
Simon: "I suspicion a opening was a small bit wet. A small bit girly for you."

This will be an interesting night because I'm not familiar with a Shania Twain catalog during all.

5:25 - Casey James is up next. (I contingency have longed for a opening thespian of a night. Wonder who it was?) He's singing a strain "Don't." Shania says she's missing a small of Casey's confidence. He's sounding similar to Eddie Vedder again. No electric guitar again - usually a acoustic. we can't contend this is genuine thrilling, though it will do. He pronounced he would move something new tonight, though I'm not sure.
Randy: "One of a many appropriate Casey performances ever."
Ellen: "Beautiful. we consider it was your many appropriate performance."
Kara: "You were vulnerable, we were raw, as well as that's what we need to do."
Simon: "I agree this is probably your many appropriate performance. It didn't feel similar to somebody else's song."
[Guess we longed for a boat upon this one.]

5:36 - Crystal Bowersox is next. She's definitely got a nation vibe down with "No One Needs To Know." she pronounced she's singing it for her boyfriend. Once again, not genuine exciting, though I'm not certain it's Crystal's fault.
Randy: "I suspicion it wasn't my a one preferred from we ! though w e liked it."
Ellen: "You're brilliant though it wasn't my a one preferred performance."
Kara: "It was believable."
Simon: "Shocker: We don't similar to Crystal this week. we suspicion it was limp. we suspicion a strain was a small some-more fogettable. It was a usually week when we didn't similar to your performance."

5:44 - So I've found out which Lee DeWyze went first tonight as well as sang. "You're Still The One." Early opinions have been mixed. And Michael Lynche's strain was "It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing."

5:46 - Aaron Kelly is up next. Shania's perplexing to build up his confidence. He's singing "You Got A Way." He's got a strong vocal, though this is nonetheless another snoozer upon nation night. Somebody abate up! During a judges' comments he pronounced he was singing a strain for his mom. Awww.
Randy: "I consider we did a unequivocally great job."
Ellen: "The volume of tension we had was impressive."
Kara: "It was similar to we unequivocally felt it."
Simon: "You struggled a last few weeks, though tonight, we were similar to a different artist."

5:55 - Siobhan Magnus is singing "Any Man of Mine." Shania says she needs to move this strain to life. Well, Shania you've strike a nail upon a head - it's been tough for Siobhan to unequivocally get into a songs she sings for this show. In this case, she pulls off. It was a many fun as well as lively opening of a night, as well as a vocals were fine. So during slightest a uncover closed upon a fun note. She even got to strike her freakishly tall note during a end!
Randy: "I desired it!"
Ellen: "Good way to finish a uncover - fantastic."
Kara: "Guess who's back? Siobhan."
Simon: "I suspicion a strain was perfect. The screaming during a finish competence have gone upon a bit long. It was similar to someone was giving birth. But it was good."

What did we consider of tonight's performances?

My ranking i! s pretty elementary this week:

Siobhan Magnus brought it! Her's was a usually memorable opening we saw.

Casey James, Crystal Bowersox as well as Aaron Kelly usually punched their time cards with nothing special.

I couldn't rate Michael Lynche or Lee DeWyze because we longed for their performances.

I'm anticipating for something some-more sparkling subsequent week!
