CNN says it's in the "category of one" among radio headlines networks delivering non-biased news.
Meeting with advertisers Tuesday during the midst of the ratings free-fall upon the flagship network, CNN's leadership said it is staying the course in emphasizing the journalism.
The reassurance may be necessary. The Nielsen Co. says CNN's weekday, budding time viewership was down 42 percent the first 3 months of the year from 2009.
CNN U.S. President Jon Klein said that based upon the format of credible, inactive news, CNN is "alone in the difficulty of one."
